Off Duty Pilates was founded on the belief that Reformer Pilates should be seen and experienced as a lifestyle – energetic, fitness-focused group classes, Reformer and Pilates Equipment classes, coupled with our core commitment that Pilates should be accessible and enjoyable. Helmed by a group of friendly, experienced and approachable instructors, working out at ODP is the perfect way to sculpting a strong and lean body. We’ve designed our space and curated the class experience with fresh tracks so that working out will never feel like ‘work’.

 

FRONT DESK / STUDIO REP (PART-TIME)

The Studio Rep / Front Desk role is a frontline position and a vital part of our growing studio, with the responsibility of setting the tone for client experience at ODP. We are looking for friendly, welcoming, and energetic individuals who recognise the value of both positive client interaction and accomplishing studio procedures in order to create an inviting environment that embodies the ODP brand.

Main Responsibilities

Studio Operations & Management

  • Opening, closing, and maintaining the studio space throughout the day based on studio SOP

  • Studio housekeeping – Maintain a clean, tidy and comfortable studio environment

  • Handle day-to-day studio tasks such as watering plants, organising merchandise and retail products, equipment, space, and tasks as required

  • Other ad hoc tasks as required

Customer Service & Sales

  • Welcoming and checking in clients via the studio’s booking system

  • Answering any questions and queries, or directing such queries to the right person

  • Answer basic emails and live chat customer service inquiries

  • Contact waitlisted clients to notify of available class spots

  • Able to sell class packages in studio (no up-selling required, procedural only)

  • Able to check out purchases of merchandise, retail, and beverage items in studio

  • Have knowledge of class packages, promotions, and retail offerings

Requirements and Experience

  • Minimum commitment period of 4 full calendar months or more

  • Must be able to commit to schedule requirements of 15 hours per week minimum (i.e. at least 2 weekday shifts, and 1 weekend shift)

  • We value applicants who are responsible, committed, able to work independently, demonstrate initiative, have strong attention to details, and a can-do attitude.

  • Able to multitask, accomplish tasks efficiently, and is customer-service oriented with a friendly disposition.

  • Be fluent in English, comfortable using email and other written forms of communication. Ability to communicate in basic, formal Korean is a plus.

  • Be interested in fitness / pilates, love interacting with people, and believe in providing a safe and positive space for clients to work out regardless of background, and creating memorable experiences for clients who choose to go off duty at our studio.

  • No formal experience required. Training will be provided.

Scheduling Details

  • Varying shift durations, between 5 to 6 hours maximum.

  • Weekdays: Mornings as early as 7:30 a.m. and evening shifts ending at 9:30 p.m.

  • Weekends: Morning to mid-day shifts on weekends.

  • Availability: Please ensure that you will be available for 3 shifts per week (2 weekday + 1 weekend) before applying.

PILATES INSTRUCTOR

As an ODP Instructor, you will lead group reformer classes in the fitness driven, Off Duty style of creative, energetic programming while keeping the core principles of Pilates at the foundation of your teaching. We believe in providing an encouraging, neutral and safe space for all clients to work out, and for our team of instructors to be inspiring, supportive, dynamic and hands-on figures that represent the Off Duty Pilates brand. With experienced Studio Directors and a team willing to explore creative boundaries to help our clients get stronger, achieve their goals, or work on the injuries or pain that they may have, ODP Instructors are motivated to be their best every day, so that they may do the same for their clients as well.

Main Responsibilities

  • Program and lead group classes of up to 10 clients at the Off Duty Pilates studio

  • Willing to implement and explore problem-solving, creative and fresh approaches to programming and instructing ODP classes, while keeping within the ODP programming framework and guidelines.

  • Work within our 10 various targeted group class types to ensure that clients are given the attention and instruction that correlates to their level or their goals.

  • Have knowledge of and recommend ODP classes, instructors, and various other options that clients can consider to achieve their objectives.

  • Believe and embody Off Duty Pilates’s commitment to providing an encouraging, neutral and safe space for all clients to work out

  • Using the Zingfit platform to view group class schedule and organise private client schedule

  • Basic opening, closing of the studio

  • Help with day-to-day studio tasks such as organising merchandise and retail products, equipment, space, when able

  • Other ad hoc tasks when able

Client Relations

  • Welcoming and checking clients into class

  • Answering any questions and queries, or directing such queries to the right person

  • Able to transact class packages in studio when required

  • Able to check out purchases of merchandise and retail items in studio

  • Have knowledge of class packages, promotions, and retail offerings

Qualifications

  • Certification: STOTT Pilates Intensive Mat-Plus (IMP), Intensive Reformer (IR) and Intensive Cadillac, Chair & Barrels (ICCB) preferred; other faculties will be considered.

  • Familiarity with Balanced Body equipment a bonus, but not necessary

  • Experience teaching group Pilates classes (new instructors are welcome as well)

  • Have an open mind, willing to try new ideas and sees the value of being in a small but growing company.

  • Positive, encouraging, and confident hands-on teaching style.

  • Singaporeans, Singapore PR, or LTVP pass holders only.

Scheduling Details

  • Freelance / Full Time (min. hours required) position

  • Currently looking for Instructors who can take on classes on the following schedule requirements:

    • Weekday morning (early morning 7:30 / 7:45 a.m. classes)

    • Weekday evening – night classes (group or private)

    • Weekends morning – afternoon (either one of Saturday or Sunday, or both)

  • Available to take on at least 12 x 1-hour classes per week

  • Bandwidth to take on substitute classes when other instructors are on leave
