Why did you get into Pilates?
Something about Pilates just clicked. It was different — more than just sweating it out. It felt like the missing piece of the puzzle that led me to a world of strength, balance, and self discovery. Pilates has taught me that sometimes the most extraordinary transformations begin with the smallest steps.
Why did you become an instructor?
Becoming an instructor was not originally part of my plan. When I took the instructor course, I simply wanted to immerse myself in the practice of it. But when I started sharing more about my experience, I realised how much I could help and inspire people through Pilates. That joy of spreading the magic of Pilates became a passion of mine.
What do you want clients to leave your class feeling?
Like they've learnt something new, and also just feeling good about showing up for themselves and dedicating the hour to their body and mind.
What makes your classes unique and sweaty?
Exercise that engages the mind and challenges the body in all planes of movement. I love to throw in stability ball at times to spice things up! Expect a build-up of intensity with lots of reps to get you sweating.
What you do want clients to leave your class feeling?
A job well done! You pushed through the class, even when you felt like you couldn’t. Just by showing up, you’ve overcome challenges; both inside and outside!
Favourite workout other than Pilates?
A well-rounded mix of cardio (including leisurely walks with my dog who taught me to appreciate life's simple pleasures) and strength training.
Describe your teaching style in five words.
Encouraging, friendly, supportive, mindful, and engaging
