How did you get into Pilates?
Honestly? My love for all things Korea got me interested in Pilates! Pilates was booming in Korea and it was all I was seeing on social media. I was super inspired by their gracefulness and sculpted figures and went on a hunt to a find a studio in Singapore. I found Off Duty Pilates and it was the best decision ever!
What do you love about Pilates?
The fact that I have to empty my mind during my practice to focus on connecting my mind and body with the right breathing and coordination in order to get a good and safe workout in!
Why did you become an instructor?
After practicing for a few years, I wanted to learn more about Pilates on a deeper level. Off Duty’s instructors encouraged me to take the instructor course and I realised how beneficial Pilates can be for any and everyone. I love sharing good things with people and Pilates is definitely something to shout out about!
What do you want your clients to leave your class feeling?
To find themselves standing, sitting and moving with better posture. It’s all about mind-body connection and awareness that I’d like to help them follow through with during and after a Pilates session!
What makes your class sweaty?
Adding more layers to one base exercise to challenge endurance and coordination. Not forgetting to say “last one” and then making everyone hold the position for longer.
Favourite recipe to cook?
Either natto or a gooey egg with rice and soya sauce! Yumm! Can you tell I’m super lazy when it comes to food? 😉
